The Bay Area Book Festival is one of the world’s premier celebrations of writers, readers and the written word. After two years of virtual programming, the 8th annual Festival will bring back its literary magic and the signature community vibe to Downtown Berkeley. On May 7 and 8, 2022, the Festival will be offering 70 indoor programs and 27 programs on the outdoor stages in the footprint of its vibrant Outdoor Fair.
The festival is one of the most international book festivals in the U.S. and regularly presents 20-25 authors from a dozen countries outside the U.S. This year’s festival line-up includes two exciting literary voices from Canada: Pik-Shuen Fung (Ghost Forest) and David A. Robertson (On the Trapline, The Great Bear). Their participation is made possible by the generous support of the Consulate General of Canada San Francisco/Silicon Valley: https://www.baybookfest.org/2022schedule
