The National Ballet of Canada will be returning to Washington, D.C. with two productions for its 2019/2020 season. On January 28th and 29th, they will be performing the works of Forsythe, Kylián and Ratmansky. This will be followed with a ballet of The Sleeping Beauty between January 30th and February 2nd. Tickets for the ballet are between $29 and $149.

New Light: Canadian Women Artists

The Embassy of Canada is proud to display over 170 art pieces by Canadian artists throughout its chancery. A New Light: Canadian Women Artists offers visitors a sneak preview of pieces by 27 renowned Canadian women artists which will afterwards be given a home in various prominent locations within the building. Baker.  In addition to Alert, the Chamber Orchestra will also perform Mozart’s Oboe Concerto in C Major and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8 Op. 93. Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists

Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists is an innovative exhibition celebrating Indigenous art made by women from across North America. Its presentation at SAAM’s Renwick Gallery includes 82 artworks dating from antiquity to the present, made in a variety of media from textiles and beadwork, to sculpture, time-based media and photography. The presentation at the Renwick is the third stop on a four venue national tour.
